Welcome to Comar Reg’d. We are a small kennel located in Haliburton Ontario run by Chris O’Mara and a small team of helpers. We are proud to have produced to have both American and Canadian champions with the Comar prefix, and continue to present our dogs to the fancy across North America.

We are a home based kennel that breeds a few times a year, and produce Whippets that excel in both conformation and performance sports. Our dogs are actively involved in obedience, sprinter, conformation, and dock diving.

Our Breed

The whippet is a medium sized high energy sighthound. Originally from Northern England the whippets’ origin is that of a poachers dog. Bred to hunt rabbit and race the Whippet has quickly become a fan favourite in many dog sports and activities — dock diving, therapy work, agility, flyball, lure coursing, and of course as a family pet!

Our Dogs

Located in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands our dogs are actively exercised in the great outdoors! Hiking, running, and swimming… Whippets can do it all!
